Workshop Overview and General Information
There are many workshops run in the Highlands of Scotland, but this is the first one ever with internationally acclaimed photographer Alex Noriega, who has teamed up with Scotland’s Alister Benn (founder of Expressive Photography) to create the most unique tour to this incredible country.
Scotland is undeniably a world class destination, but instead of trailing around the same old icons, Alister and Alex will take you to some of the most dramatic and intimate locations where you can explore the light, atmosphere and your relationship with the landscape at your own pace. Having two expressive landscape photography professionals on hand all the time ensures plenty of one to one time, answers to your questions and should you require it, guidance on how to see creatively.
Both Alister and Alex are well known for their abilities to strip complex landscapes down to the simplest possible expressive content. On this unique workshop there will be processing sessions, discussions on the pursuit of individuality and unique expressive articulation. We will be based in three different locations: The Isle of Harris, Torridon and the Cairngorm National Park.
We’re staying in some of the finest hotels on the west of Scotland and you’ll be well fed and transported in a roomy and comfortable 9 seater van.
